SKC is actually one of my favorite MLS teams tbh.  Don't really care if they win or not.  May put the game on in the background.

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

vamos Tigres! and Monterrey I guess...count me firmly outside the "rah rah go random MLS team" camp

Every single aspect of Mexican soccer can eat shit, so put me firmly in the SKC camp for this.

Not very neighborly!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

They play more attacking soccer so there's that.

Not quite sure if people realize how good Monrterrey and Tigres are this year. Impossible for MLS to compete with the top Liga MX teams when we have a salary cap and they don't.

Santos was whupped by Tigres 3-0 at Tigres a couple of days ago. Maybe they can make it up at home.

Yep... Still comes down to this.

MLS is better now compared to where they used to be because they are well coached for the most part and salaries have moved up a bit but a team like KC is spending a quarter of what Tigres is spending.  Until that gap closes significantly then MLS won't be winning in any meaningful way.

KC at Monterrey tonight.

Much like the Mets, the team did not show up:

Tigres is killing them again, 2-0 this game and it's not even at the half, 5-0 aggregate.

Tigres would have demolished us.

Santos scratched 3 back to at least make the aggregate score not look so laughable, but yea, we would have been embarrassed by Tigres. Scary to think about how bad it could have been in our current form.

KC got on the board early 1-0. Looks almost sold out tonight even with them being down 5-0 coming into this game. Must be nice.
