I would much prefer to play here than there, but I play with myself often enough...oops did I say that out loud?

Mar Vista SC has quit doing corner kicks, and just like Slap & Pickle - defenders are deliberately kicking into touch across the end line as they know they will retain possession.
Corner kicks may not be quite the same with small goals, but deliberately kicking out of bounds and retaining possession is just bullshit.

Fuck the possession dump...long live the corner kick.I'm up for this Sunday afternoon (August 23rd), but only if we do corner kicks.

Dunno if we can get the goals from Twigg or not, so let's set a date for September, and spread the word.

Nope.Do you guys still play?
The currently active LARS pickup games are:
Slap & Pickle - Fridays in Lakewood
Beer & Gymnastics - Wednesday evenings somewhere near Whittier
VSU - Sundays in the Valley (although they may have changed.
There's a pickup game at Mar Vista Park on Saturdays and one in Torrance at La Romeria park on Sundays at 2:00. They are both small goal/short sided games though.
