I wonder if their fans got in any trouble tonight and be allowed back at St. Johns

New Mexico knocks out Colorado in PKs.... I legit think there are more New Mexico fans in Colorado than Colorado fans.

No thanks....

We hope you enjoyed the atmosphere at the match and can see all the upgrades that have been done to the campus to create a professional setting for our club. We would love to have you back to MSU Soccer Park to catch a NYRB II match complimentary on us so that you can get another chance to enjoy the facility and watch our USL Championship team in action as we look to continue our run in the Eastern Conference. If you would like to take us up on the offer I have attached a link for you below to fill out and we can get you the tickets to a match of your choosing.

So, random thought, why was Montclair chosen as the RB2 facility? If RedBull were going to make investments to upgrade collegiate facilities for their USL squad, why didnt they partner with a more conveniently located school? If they wanted to keep it close to RBA, why not partner with Rutgers Newark or NJIT? If you wanted to make it convenient to the fans that commute from NYC, why not Stevens in Hoboken? You could literally walk to the Stevens campus from the Hoboken PATH, which has access to both 33rd St and WTC PATH lines.

I am sure there are other conveniently located colleges in NYC, I can only speak for the schools Im familiar with in NJ.

Open cup debacle aside, I think that it's a nice gesture. They should comp a couple of USL tickets to all red members on a yearly basis. I bet that some of those people would start going to USL matches more regularly.

I assume that it has to do with the already established relationship with MSU and the fact that they have a soccer specific stadium already.

NJIT would've been great, PATH to NWK and that super inexpensive light rail/NWK subway thing right in front of the field, too. wished the U23s played there or something on an improved field.

NJIT built its new gym where the soccer field used to be:

They've had a long term relationship with Montclair.   Newark campuses are sketchy AF and hardly more convenient.   Stevens is a traffic nightmare for anyone driving.  And you don't know who they might have talked to.  Maybe the other schools weren't interested.

It was probably the cheapest option. Would be nice if they actually did something in NY once in a while...

NYCFC knocks out DC. Hopefully NYCFC gets knocked out next round.

Would like to see New Mexico pull off another upset and keep going. They were down early to Dallas and tied it 1-1 with a half to go.

New Mexico pulls off the upset, their fans really travel well too. They will be heading to Minnesota next.

Orlando beats New England 2-1 in extra time. Orlando will host nycfc next.

ATL with a fucking cakewalk to the final.  Got their 4th round matchup against a USL side moved to a closed door match after complaining about the weather, and still needed extra time to win.  Columbus in the Round of 16, and needed a couple of questionable no-calls to advance.  Now another USL matchup in the Quarterfinals, and a potential matchup vs NYC or Orlando in the semis.

But at least Red Bull saved some money by having our game at MSU.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.
