Yup... I took a small loss on the last attempt at a Benfica flip... and ironically, I'll be OMW to Rome that week

They also offered a buy 1 get one free for the 1 game at RBA and 2 games at Metlife last year. I think most people are over paying big money for these games since they know the prices bottom out on the secondary market, deals like a buy 1 get 1 pop up or they end up group on.
Even more so with these happening every year now.

Remember the hype when they played Arsenal at RBA? And then their lineup was a bunch of scrubs like Chuba Akpom, lol.

At least it's not Red Bull vs. Roma or Benfica.

A bunch of us here made a ton of money off that game though. Good times.

I love the chip/shot/cross from Grella into the Benfica net. That made me happy and the Eurosnob Benfica fans enraged, so much so that when they left 102, we waved at them mockingly, and some dudes got even more bent out of shape.

A bunch of people I know are ticked that Arsenal isn't coming to the Midwest this summer, and all I can think is, "Why?" I'm not paying a dime to go watch a bunch of guys, usually scrubs, fart around in a preseason match. Huge waste of time and money. For how much the day will cost, you might as well fly to Europe and watch a real match. At least it's not Red Bull vs. Roma or Benfica.

Yawn..
I'll be in Rome in a few weeks. Most likely gonna buy a scarf, but not enough for me to pay for this game.

These games are old news. Same teams every year. Completely overpriced. Reserve lineups. Preseason form. No thanks.

lol. 12k fans. i'm glad people are finally wising up to these BS summer friendlies and their outrageous prices. I also saw a lot of ads for discount codes to the Real vs Atleti game. Bet that one has subpar attendance too.

Looks like tickets are still available in the back rows of most sections, and half the upper deck is not being sold:

Still, 50,000 would be a decent crowd.
There were 31K at YS for Liverpool.

Used to be these games were big events, and any big club could play anyone at all and they would sell out. Not so much anymore. The only other time Liverpool came this way was 4 years ago, vs. Man City. Sold out and high scalper pricing. This time it was vs. Sporting Lisbon, and you could walk up and buy tix, plus they had the very top section closed off. Of course, both times it was 95% plus red shirts in the crowd.
