£4 million was enough, too cheap on the back end though. Brentford kills it with their recruitment....must be nice

so ~$5M USD up front, potentially rising to $12M USD with bonuses. Where would the profit be after we flip him if he flops like Kaku? This doesn't seem like it was ever very realistic for RBNY.

4mil pounds seems to be the floor for English teams.
with us, it's the low ceiling in a ground level apt somewhere in the NYC outer boroughs.
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.
RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

To be fair, the ground level apartment in the outer boroughs with a low ceiling is also $4M.

He has still not been sold yet.

Valued at £12.5M? We will never see him.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Somebody dug up his stats on Twitter.
12 goals in 14 games for Brentford. He was worth it.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

And wasn't a realistic target. Why would he choose a middling MLS team versus saying home and playing for a high level Championship team that just barely missed out on promotion and has a strong recent track record of moving attackers to the Premier League (e.g. Benrahma, Watkins, Maupay).

the Brentford bid wasn't in when we bid, and only came in after they sold Watkins. If Watkins didnt go they wouldnt have signed him. I'd rather shoot for guys like that and see what happens, if bid then is rejected move on, but make them say no.

Not like it matters but
[Sky Sports Statto] Ivan Toney ends 2020 top of the goalscoring charts in @EFL - Toney scored in 20 of his 32 League appearances during the year, totalling 26 goals
So at least our scouting dept got this one right? Some positive....

I wonder if an EPL team might want to pick him up in January. Sheffield United could use a goal scorer.

Not sure why they'd want a young player for the Championship or League One. I've been told those guys are useless.
