That's all well and good that we'd get sims back but that puts us back to where we were and the end of last season which wasn't good enough for a home playoff game.

This team needs to get BETTER not stay the same.

If we get sims and a real Zlatan / Vela / Rogiguez level striker I'd be happy.

I don't care about name I'm talking about production.

That would be nice, but don't hold your breath...

We also had villa if I remember correct...

We did, and that was some shady business because MLS did not appear to even give us a chance to make Villa and offer before handing him over to NYCFC.

I check MLSsoccer every day, and it seems like every team is acquiring players, be it from MLS or beyond.

I bet we'll sign Stroud and Lema soon enough!

Sure does seem that way.

I think Sims could come back, but probably not until the summer. Southampton is going to be fighting relegation this season and I think they would want all hands on deck in January and beyond. Sims is a guy I can see them giving a run of games on the first team.

Other than that, there is nobody linked with RBNY.

NYCFC aren't doing any better though. Their roster is better than ours, but they still don't have a coach, haven't signed anyone and Medina is still occupying a DP slot on their roster.

Who says that we have a coach????

Cant we at least sign a NYRB2 player so everyone can complain?

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Oh boy, I can't imagine Energy Drink FC signing only RBII players before the start of the season...
Are town hall meetings still a thing?

After #Kakuwatch the FO indicated that they would keep future signings under wraps until everything was finalized. Maybe that explains *some* of the radio silence, in addition to Hamlett's ineptitude.

Is there some kind of date the league has to wait for to sign players from the USL teams?

It's always like this though. The club isn't linked to anybody then brings in a (usually underwhelming) signing at the last minute.

The only difference this year is Red Bull truly looks to be unwilling to spend any significant cash. So don't expect more Kaku-type signings.

Alan Pulido from Chivas. Supposedly KC's offer is the closest to Chivas' $10M valuation of him. It's not official yet though.

and they rarely spend big, too. Claudio Bieler was a South Americna striker that they brought in for DP $$. iirc, it didn't work out.

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee
