Teemu is a better player than Rafa at this point, and I'd rather see Dax's manic hustle than Rafa's mongoloid-ish lopes and mononucleosis-inspired pass attempts. And what is going to happen when our CAM comes? Can anyone really justify Rafa starting at that point?

There IS going to be a problem here at some point... unless Rafa starts to mysteriously come down with 'injuries', like he did today which 'forced' him to be subbed.

I loved/hated Rafa continuously directing everyone to make passes.

Great assist on our first goal, but the remainder of his passes seemed either directly to opponents, or easly stolen by them.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

It certainly appears that way. What he seems to be losing is not what a player normally loses though. I mean its not like he is incapable of kicking a ball with enough pace to make it 12 yards before someone picks it off.

he was playing injured; there was an issue with his groin muscle before the match but gave it a go.

I'm just gonna give him one more year. THIS YEAR! If he's not on the same level as the other DPs like Henrey, Beckham, and Donavan, he's out of here.

I just hope the GM thinks the same.

From what I posted on the game thread:

I've suggested that the best arrangement for Rafa and Teemu is to have them operate in tag team fashion and yesterday's game justified that. Between injuries, card accumulation and the fact that they both have the occaisional poor outing, it is best to have one in reserve ready to replace the other rather than both being on the field at the same time. That will be especially valid if/when we get DP3. Having both is an advantage we should exploit. They'll both play better when they are not expected to play every minute of every game.

i find it funny how Marquez has become a "Maestro" for the RBNY backline. During the game, he is always talking to them telling them to pass left or pass right while his hands are flapping all over the place.

All wee need is solli, holgerson, conde and miller to start playing classical music and RBNY has an orchestra.

Injuries and suspensions may solve the problem on their own.
