Absolutely nothing wrong with selling high, assuming a replacement can be lined up.He turns 30 in May. We all know what the team's philosophy is. Management has probably made it clear in league channels that they're looking to make some changes. It makes sense that some other teams might inquire about his availability, and it makes sense that Hamlett would listen, even if it's with a mandate that they'd have to be blown away to accept an offer for him.

Why are Armas and Hamlett still here?
RB are waiting to sell them high, assuming replacements can be lined up?
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Have to remember that they got Royer in exactly that kind of situation. Sold Lloyd Sam before his value tanked and acquired Daniel Royer at 26 years old.

Why are Armas and Hamlett still here?
RBGlobal chose to keep them both.
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig and Celenio Eleazar.

per Dyer
I've been told definitively that #RBNY is in the market for outside back depth, a centerback and one attacking piece that could be a wide player or up top to augment the pieces there. No offers for Kaku. Other MLS teams showing interest in a couple current pieces on the roster.
As per Royer, #RBNY is not looking to move him. Teams do due diligence at this point in the year. Don't read into anything there. Any smart team is willing to listen when a team calls. Hamlett is pragmatic this way. But the team MVP isn't moving.
CB? I guess Long is gone.
Those additions wont be quite enough. Especially if Royer goes.
Need Sims AND another attacker.
Outside back DEPTH? No. Need another starter here. Dont plan on Duncan staying healthy.
Need a seasoned vet at CDM as well.

Might as well lock the thread if Armas and Hamlett are sticking around. This team isn't going to be linked to anyone outside of the scrubs on Red Bull II.C

What a depressing time to be a fan of this team, especially since they started to build a little momentum years ago.

I think I'm in the camp of why bother with a TAM striker. White when he was healthy put up really solid numbers. Between him and Barlow, we should get solid performance up there.
Use the money at the 6 position.
MLS allows up to $4M in TAM to be spent in 2019, $1.2M of which is a total freebie. You could basically field an entire starting lineup of DP and TAM players if you really wanted to go full "win now" mode.

I really don't care when as long as they do it before the season.
