King Henry the Great (t-shirt idea). You always knew he had it in him if he could break the Euro Retirement League jinx. If he keeps this up, we'll have to ask: what's the difference this year? Supporting cast? Fitness? Attitude? Adjustment to the league? All of the above?

For a season as bad as DCU has had, the USOC title is whipped cream on shit ~~ VOR II

Dax said that he's never seen Henry in the kind of shape that he's in now, that preseason loan is looking better and better each game!

I think it also helped his confidence. He proved that he could still make some impact in the EPL.

He's always been this good... It's just that he's healthy right now and the team is playing pretty well around him. Especially in the key spots.

Hopefully we get lucky and the achillies doesn't bother him much this year.

Part of what makes Henry great, and especially over here in the MLS is that he's a self starter. You can tell just by watching him (as well as interviews) that he's just one of those guys who's insanely competitive. Jordan was the same way and some people are just like that... Doesn't matter what they do in life, they want to win at it. For Jordan, it didn't matter if it was Basketball, or checkers with his grandmother. Or now racing. Or even baseball for a bit.

Replace the face... with bearded Titi Henry. I'd be down. Add some words... Maybe "Henry the Great"

"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

Maybe Henry V would be the better role model, though his war against france might be a bit of a rub for Henry.

Henry is now doing what the DP exemption was designed to do, bring in truly superior talent.

King Henry XIV

A new variation on Le Roi Soleil? We can adapt the beatles song as a chant: "Here comes the Sun King".

I like it.

Looks like Thierry will be making METROFANATIC history with the all-time high game rating (currently 9.7) for his performance vs. Montreal disIMPACTed-- easily beating out Dane Richard's 9.55.

It's very early, but he also might make a run at the all-time season mark. He's chasing Tim Howard's 2003 mark of 7.353. If we're talking full season, above 25 games or something, the mark is Timmy's 7.110 in 2001. If we're talking field players, there are a lot bunched up under 7, with Youri's 2005 season at 6.989 in the front.

Va Va Voom is currently at............8 :o

Too bad we didnt have the rankings when Mathis scored 5 goals. That would have had to been about as close to a perfect 10 as you can get.

An uninjured and in form Henry is an amazing treat to watch. I wish we had this guy for last season and the one before that.

i just love the way he put that last goal away WITH AUTHORITY. most of the time, it's a finesse placement into the bottom corner. this one, he just ripped it, then walked away with mad swag like it was nothing. LEGENDary stuff.
