It's El Salvador and Honduras, they should be able to beat them anywhere in the US no matter what the temperature it is.

I dont think thats the right attitude to have but I completely understand the sentiment.

Tomorrow is a big day in WCQ.

What is very interesting about tomorrow in particular is that the 4 teams in the top half of the octa do not play each other. Instead each plays a team in the bottom half. So a draw while the other 3 top teams win is really a bad result.

Ok kidding aside, Ive read a lot on how the weather is not only an enemy of our opponents but could be one for our guys too. Most of the guys in our camp play in winter or cold leagues, and we have the talent advantage. This should be a win. Am I too confident ?

The weather could easily end up being an equalizer, hampering both teams, and not the advantage it was intended to be. Should be a comfortable win regardless.

As a general "rule of thumb" : Bad weather helps the weaker team (in any sport) because the better team is not able to be efficient and impose its superiority to the fullest.

Well, it's actually supposed to be 30 at kickoff tonight, which I guess isn't too bad.

But next Wednesday in St. Paul, it's forecast to be a high of 12 and a low of -4.  I don't care where you play, no one is comfortable or happy  about playing in temperatures like that.

And for comparisons' sake, I looked at the weather forecast for Leipzig.  For the next 10 or so days, the forecast is for temperatures in the 30s and 40s.  Thirty degrees warmer than what it will be in St. Paul when we play Honduras.  So I don't think the fact that he plays in Leipzig will help Tyler Adams next Wednesday.

More to the point, yes this should be a win.  But I think we would have maybe a better chance, but definitely as good a chance, of winning if these qualifiers were in a more southern city with warmer temperatures.

Edit:  I checked London (Pulisic, A. Rob.) and Turin (McKennie).  Forecast calls for temperatures in the 30s to the low 50s over the next 10 days.  Valencia (Musah) is high 30s to high 60s and Barcelona (Dest) is high 30s to 60.

USA v. ES and JAM v. MEX are being played simultaneously tonight, with both on English language TV.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Move probably means Lenos leaving. Doubtful hell see any minutes over Ramsdale and Arsenal is out every competition except the Prem, so hes mostly gonna be riding pine.
