I remember him well. "Stevey" Hunt.Ireland signing for us is somewhat reminiscent of Stephen Hunt who played for the Cosmos in 1977-1978. He was only 21 when he came over here and actually had a very good career after he went back to England:

SPECULATION IS FUN. DON'T RUIN THIS FOR ME.He is Irish, and so am I. Last time I checked that is Europe =) Also, 2.5 million here is much less than 2.5 euro's. But, I still believe that Ireland will not be here; its speculation on everyone's end. just my opinion.

I am sick of this win now at all costs attitude by Red Bull. We should be going after a DP thats 25 or younger that we can build a team around and then be successful for 4/5 years. The way they are building the team, we will have to turn over our core players in 1-2 years time. It is not a method for success or winning trophies in America.
RBNY tried to get Stephen Ireland (who is 26 years old), but the league blocked it. We have to pay even bigger bucks for someone in the prime of their career and almost always a huge transfer fee. MLS just doesn't allow for moves like that at this time.
