We are due for a sup-par season
Years ending in 9 have not been kind to us.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

That reads to me like 'Club America come and get me, I'll be patient"From Kaku's twitter yesterday...

Club America is way more prestigious than Red Bulls, no doubt about it.I am not sure if moving to Mexican league would be considered a move up. Rbny can always match club Americas salary demands and MLS is just as good or even better in getting players to europe.
The interest though is confusing. He's a decent player, but like the poster above me said, not a proven great player. His form has been terrible for a while now.

CCL results say otherwise, and you could see why a native Spanish speaker would find the lifestyle more comfortable in Mexico as well. Either way, Kaku is constantly posting quotes like that, I don't think this one means any more than the others.
We'd preferably have him for more than one season but fans do need to understand that Kaku will be sold at some point. I don't think Red Bull invests $6M in a player they didn't fully intend to flip.

As if there is a dearth of native Spanish speakers in NYC! Probably more Argie dialect here than in Mexico City.

Fair point. But that is not the case within the Team, from Management down to teammates. Hence why Kaku was taking English classes before coming to RB. He still probably is.

US dollar is the "gold" standard of currency. Low inflation, accepted worldwide.
MLS owners are financially solid. Paycheck very unlikely to bounce.
Don't want to open a hornet's nest with other issues, use your imagination.

I think the club could also dangle a possible future move to Leipzig or Salzburg in front of him to entice him to stay.
There is absolutely no reason to sell him for 6 or 7 million. As a league, MLS cant be selling players at a discount rate to Liga MX clubs.
