When will he leave? Where will he go? How high is his ceiling?

Despite all the rumored interest, I still think he goes to Leipizig in January.

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

No worries.  We have Zubar, Miller, and Lade as backups.

I'd think January too, if the interest is more than scouting which isn't hard to imagine.   He really has improved in leaps and bounds this season alone and is a really good player who will continue to.

Felipe's was worse, it was like he was playing golf.  Miazga's was less cricket and more slow pitch softball.

Of all the teams that were rumored to be scouting Matt i would love if he went to Roma. Its going to suck to see him go when he does but at least hes wearing our colors on the National level.

Miazga was indeed awesome yesterday. My hope is that he stays at least a year--maybe even earns a "young DP" contract? I like what Portland has done with their DPs--getting young stars they can build around. Not big names, but big players.

By the way, I also thought the much-maligned Grella and Duval were excellent, and Sacha had his best half in a Metro shirt.

And kudos to ESC (and, okay, VA and GSS) for representing the club and fan base well.

A great day all around.

Roma would be good in a year or even 2. If he joined Roma he wouldn't get any playing time. I don't think he goes to a Champions League side right off the bat.

Hope he stays either through a salary raise maybe 300-400k or even possibly a DP.

I hope Miazga is a part of the first generation that MLS can actually keep home instead of them leaving for a better payday. Make the whole "homegrown players don't count against the cap" thing last forever and pay kids like Miazga and Zardes whatever we need to keep them.

Sadly/pathetically,  with RB that rule wouldn't help.

He is so young, hopefully he stays for a few years continues to play well and gets a raise. I hate to see guys go over to Europe too young and flounder for a while. No reason to rush, he's only 19 where Tim Ream was much older (soccer wise).

i loved ream when he was on our team, but i'd have to think that miazga has a higher ceiling than ream did.  ream is more versatile, but as a pure CB, i think miazga can anchor the USMNT backline along with gonzalez.

He goes and plays in the U-20 World Cup and the team goes on a losing streak. He gets back and we win 3 in a row. We need this guy.
