Winning isn't the primary goal here Dan.

its not Troys fault, but if in theory we actually did the painful retooling thats needed here do you want to deploy our limited resources to be nurtured by Troy?  I feel like Troy is an average coach but when you arent spending like crazy and are a system team you need an elite coach

You need to fucking spend like you're in fucking New York.  You need to have players that change games and win you matches.  We don't have those players and we won't be players to get them.

It's the same fucking joker running the show that ran this shit in the late 2000'a when we fired Bruce.  We've had good coaches.  They either ran em out or gave them to Leipzig.

They won't do what's needed to win.  Our academy is being outworked by a club 30 minutes outside of Philly.  Our cross town rivals have a cup and this owner hasn't done fucking shit.

You don't need it retool, you need to blow red bull the fuck up.  Nothing changes if theyre here. This shit hasn't worked for 5 years.

No fucking pride in this organization and as fans most of us are bordering on the most apathetic levels we've ever had.

At a normal club ownership would be fucking embarrassed by the state of things.  Ours barely knows we exists.

Fuck Red Bull.  Been too much of this shit for too long.

Not as bad as NY

And that goes to how bad RB have been and how much of a snob market New York is

They've been here 16 years and still don't know fucking shit about this city.

Couldn't lose, didn't lose.  In that sense, job done. I'm not sure we win many games playing like that long term.  Morgan out for a bit and our position in the table doesn't give me much confidence with how difficult the schedule is.

El Trafico is turning into one of my 'appointment viewing matches in the year round football calendar.  The players up their level for that match.  Doesn't have the history of an Old Firm or Clasico or Superclasico, but I make it a point to watch it. Last night was simply a league match with no gimmicks that set an attendance record.   MLS is so healthy in LA and it makes me jealous. Original brands, clubs deeply embedded into their city.  Everything that MLS in NY is not.

Having some homegrown players is healthy.   Especially if you have the best academy.

We don't have the best academy right now.  Our hit rate on truly quality homegrown players amounting into a narional team quality player is...shall we say...lacking over the past 4-5 years.

So have some homegrown, but for God's sake if you're gonna do that surround them with high quality talent to win games and foster their development.

We're doing minimal right as an organization right now.

I have never been less engaged as a fan in my life as I am right now.  It's really sad and frustrating.   I have two kids, have zero interest in ushering them into this fanbase as currently constructed.

Theyre Penn State, Mets and Islanders fans right now.  They don't know this club exists.  If you told me that in 2013 I would've laughed thst off.

The majority of our fanbase has stopped going to matches.

I'm watching our club slowly choking and dying due to our ownership while the cross town rivals get a cup and a NYC stadium on the 7 line. This is so fucking sad man. Fuck Red Bull.  Turning us into Chivas.

#1419875 Struber post game excerpt

Posted by NittanyMetros on 16 October 2022 - 04:51 PM

We have the lowest payroll in the League. Struber took that team to 4th seed and yes lost in the first round of play-offs, after two of best players on the team (CCJ and team MVP Morgan) got injured. We need to get quality players on the roster. He overachieved given what he had to work with.

Struber is the least of this organizations problems which is why he's gonna walk.

#1419824 Schneider press conference

Posted by NittanyMetros on 16 October 2022 - 07:27 AM

Once a Metro is fine art if you view it as comedic satire for people who are hoping to work for mlssoccer.com one day and skipped ahead to the part where they need you to pump sunshine up everyone's ass. Schneider is part of the same apparatus that rewards loyalty to the corporation over success on the football field. The Red Bull ownership and org is still the issue.

Right.  Support the lads.

I was going to wait until the window officially closes to post this,

But the FO and Ownership absolutely need to be protested

I get it is somewhat of a tricky line to balance on to protest the FO without it bleeding to the players, but the largest group of supporters really need to point out just how unacceptable this regimes actions has become

That historically has been a dead end with the SGs.  The only thing that worked was making the Red Bull brand look shitty and once that pressure disappeared so did any accountability to the fanbase.

Someone needs to take over Red Bull Out, but there are very few willing to put in the necessary work to execute a vision to do this.

Why no RedBullOut chant from the SW for the full 90 every home game? This shit is beyond miserable.

That requires a spine.

You guys are nuts lol. Its August, we're currently in a position to host a playoff game, we had a great Open Cup run, and half a dozen people are passionately convinced that the rest of the season is literally a waste of time.

I don't know where in the entire history of MLS you guys got the idea that only rosters with zero gaps are capable of winning MLS Cup. We're a good team, and especially when hosting some playoff games anything can happen. I cannot wrap my head around the wallowing some of you guys let yourselves fall into sometimes. Or the wallowing that some of you are permanently entrenched in. I'm having fun watching this year's team.

This aged well.

Been singing the same tune about Red Bull since 2015.  They ain't in this to win.  Feel for Struber.  He gives a shit about New York and wants to win here.
