He scored a brilliant free kick for us this weekend and generally has been one of our best midfielders this year. Got called up to the Venezuelan NT for their qualifiers this month: https://www.facebook...57870539915264/

Also some speculation he may be a transfer target for other teams...

Would not be too upset, midfield is pretty deep. This makes the 33 yr old Austrian dude rumor make some more sense.

I've always been skeptical about the CCJ hype, but even before that goal he has seriously raised his game this season, and has more than earned his minutes. We aren't all that deep with Valot out, Harper underwhelming and Royer re-assigned as third forward (stupidly). I wish Omir had done the same.

I wouldn't sell him just to sell him but for the right price? Sure.

Yeah - sucks, but I think this is the reality now. Promising/key players will be sold every transfer window...

Omir looked his best when he was forced to play as a central attacking midfielder under marsch. I would like to see that again under struber. He might need to improve defensively to get some action but he will probably be Clark's replacement.

Casseres looks great in this system. Last year he was over thinking the pass and got loss a few times. This year, him and davis are winning a lot of balls and playing the smart pass.

Clark's replacement if its handled internally for sure is Carmona, not Omir

Omir has been subbing in for Clark for now though.

He's a little more MLS-ready than Carmona right now, at least based on the season opener, but I can't imagine there are any long term plans for Omir to take anyone's starting spot. He's in his third year as a pro and has not shown any signs at all of improvement. I think he's hit his ceiling as an MLS bench option.
