He started out well. Then he starter to make too many mistakes. Silly mistakes. Good luck to him. Win win scenario for both sides.

Good riddance. Too many dumb mistakes and would eventually gas out and look like he wanted off the field before the game was over.

I hope the best for him but this is addition by subtraction.  I view him similarly to Roy Miller.  Found his way on the field a lot and could do some good things but too many bad things happened.

Roy was generally an above-average MLS player who had an uncanny ability to forget how to play soccer at every pivotal moment. Tarek mostly sucked the last two seasons.

So we gave him away for free?

Was it a "Hey, I know we agreed to sell him to you, we need him until some guys return from injury, so we will give him to you for free afterwards since the window will be closed, but we will get a sell-on fee instead"?

What would you suppose  the xfer fee would be for a mediocre MLS defender?

I just read this as they looked at Monzon in training and liked what they saw, so no more need for Tarek.

Interestingly, he is staying through Sept 15 (DC and Columbus games)

Looks like they want to give Monzon a couple matches with the 2s who also play on the 11th and 15th

If he weirdly plays, it will be fascinating to watch his checked out level of performance.

Eh, Tarek doesn't seem like the type of guy who would mail it in. He has flaws, but he has never seemed checked out.

We may have received a conditional third-round pick in the 2022 Egyptian SuperDraft.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

We've gotten twice as much for him as we got for Kaku

At least not more checked out than usual.
