What did we learn? The U.S. is not three deep at each spot.

AJ looked like what he is. A CB playing RB. If he wants a RB that can get forward and attack, call in Sean. If he wants a Cherundolo backup who will sit back while Chandler on the left gets forward, AJ would be a fantastic option.

Jones and Clark were exposed in the air. Panama's most dangerous attacks came when they played the direct pass from deep positions to head of a player in front of the US back four. This either pulled a central defender forward, or it forced a midfielder to challenge for the ball. Simply put, Jones and Clark got totally worked. Not once in the first half did the US win one of those headers to Renteria or to the little guy with hops (can't remember the name) in front of the US defenders. As a result they were caught in a wrestling match with a player running in behind them. Lorentowitz came on in the second half and neutralized that tactic pretty well. He also passed the ball better than either Clark and Jones and was much better positionally.
I think a lot of people, perhaps including Klinsmann and his staff think this game exposed the defenders. I think it exposed the midfield, Jones, Zusi, Shea and Clark all gave the ball away cheaply. Thank goodness Lorentowitz and Sapong entered the game to restore a little order.
I couldn't help but think as I watched Sapong, how much better at holding the ball Buddle is. Buddle also seems to be able to score goals.
Sloppy fatigued team. Not sure how much help it is to kill the players at the National Team camp, unless they are trying to show them the level of fitness they expect of a national team player. If that is the message, I'm all for it.

Sounds like an episode of "Smallville".Clark getting exposed? Unpossible! We've never seen that before.

I fell asleep 5 minutes into it and woke up with just enough time to get ready for B&G.
Nothing missed it seems.
Jermaine Jones as captain is lame.
