Plays mostly left back but can play CB or left wing. Egyptian International. Played 20 games this season with Orlando.
He was the option outside of Redding last year.
My only concern us that I believe he was on loan?
EDIT: He was transferred completely this past season.

what this is huge!!!
26 years old
6'3" 200 pounds Left footed CB
Not too quick but a strong and aggressive CB.
Great move IMO.
Making 90k, no idea how long his current deal is.
edit its huge if we bring back parker and he's 3rd CB
double edit - he was born in LA maybe he won't count as an international?

Exceptional pedigree... Orlando is a hotbed of young, special defensive talent, which is why they only gave up a league worst 74 goals last year.

4th round pick means this is just a free signing. Nice pickup for no price.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

How is this remotely "huge?"

Is he any good? Orlando was really bad, and he was a part of it. Plus, 90K for a 26 year old international player suggests that there was not much demand for his services when he signed with MLS.

MLS is actually decent at tracking this on their website.

He is not an international.
Good depth signing.

Because before this trade we had two center backs in our entire system. Assuming we get Parker back this is a fantastic depth signing and is an improvement on Collin, Escobar, or Ndam as 3rd CB.
I want us to sign a Pavon level guy for the top of the pitch but a team is made up of solid guys who can do their job, this is a good 3rd center back pickup.

If it's any solace, Vancouver had a mediocre defensive record in 2017 with two of the most individually talented CBs in the league, Parker and Waston. Orlando had a coaching problem more than anything.Exceptional pedigree... Orlando is a hotbed of young, special defensive talent, which is why they only gave up a league worst 74 goals last year.
No idea what his skillset is having watched zero neutral Orlando games this year, but the guy at least has the size to fit our system.

Good players can be on bad teams. I don't know enough about him to judge so I'm going to trust that RBNY did more research than "what team did he play for last year?" If this is a Parker replacement then I'll be concerned, though.

Today, we lost Ndam, 30K difference in salary. We got Tarek, international slot, 50K allocation.
Seems like a good tradeoff?

Add Egypt to the all-time nationalities roster.
