Don't particularly blame them. When we hosted a cup game at Montclair, the crowd was significantly diminished compared to what it would have been at RBA. There's a lot to be said about not encouraging (their or our) FO with a high attendance at a different arena, in addition to the transport challenges in both cases.

That's because our front office showed how little they gave a shit about the open cup last year when we gave up our home field advantage to save some money.

City group has apparently bought NYCFC Uruguay U20 intl DM Nicolas Acevedo.

I hate NYCFC, but its clear their absentee ownership is currently more interested than ours when it comes to player acquisition.

Weird signing for Shitty considering they already committed to Parks long term, and have Ring and Sands who are capable of playing there but 🤷‍♂

Maybe Ham Sandwich was shopping for a D mid and had the rug pulled out from under him.

What are the chances these cunts get out-numbered by the Costa Rican fans for tonight's game?

"plenty of fans are staying away from the venue tonight, as nycfc fans frustrated, a lack of a home venue of their own to use in this tournament"

"some fans have chosen to boycott"

haha

FS2 caption says game is at Yankee Stadium.
Someone should do a headcount.
I hope we draw better on Sunday!
How many sponsors on the San Carlos kit?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Not for nothing but I missed seeing that field. What a wonderful place to have a game! Warts (or tarps) and all.

Announced 2,700.
I think the crowd was very late in arriving.
Seemed like a lot more there during the 2nd half.
Perhaps due to the 6 PM start & unfamiliar route.
Looks like they could host at RBA again!

I really do hate them using our field, but if we let them play there for the next match and it is filled with Tigres supporters and Tigres win, it would be amazing.

Do not love Blood Money FC getting comfortable playing at RBA.

Agreed, but watching their fans throw a tantrum is pretty fun.

Hosting the next round as well.  Hope the $$$ into Red Bull's bank account helps MdG sleep at night.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Yea...hopefully they just lose to Tigres and it will be extremely embarrassing for them. God forbid they win, we do NOT want them playing MTL or Olimpia in the Semis, or potentially the Finals.

I'm not even sure how we go about voicing our displeasure over this...

Less than $1m for 2 game rental.

Let's all take a guess as to how they spend the $$$$. #Sarcasm

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee
