IMO crowds are closer to 5k than 16k.

I agree. Historically, butts in seats seems to see a significant uptick as we roll into the summer, but its been pretty bleak so far.

There's not 16k, there's not 5k. Probably somewhere in the middle closer to 11k, with more being at the last game. There's millions of EPL & Liga MX fans - they just won't come to our games!

I know this is DH stuff, but attendance is abysmal. Just look around. Upstairs mostly empty, downstairs hall-full outside of the SW. The announced numbers are fully cooked. Tickets Distributed is as unreliable as Facebook confirms. No one will release or leak the turnstile counts. If they did, someone would be out there scanning thousands of duplicate tickets. A reporter could count the crowd, for most games:

Time to re-publish this classic;

I would also like to know how many of the tickets out there for every game are comps? I wouldn't be shocked if a significant amount of the crowds are papered.
Let's Go Buffalo!!!

Lots of new housing units in & coming to Harrison. Either few are being occupied by RB fans, or marketing outreach is lacking or failed.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Tenants in at least some of those new buildings are offered discounted tickets to games. On Saturday, I'm finally bringing to the game a couple of friends who have lived in one of them for over a year but never been to a match.

I hope they are RB fans!

Haha, they'll probably be more of the sitting and watching variety but definitely in red.

The biggest disappointment to me about RBA attendance is that they have absolutely zero traction in their own neighborhood. There's almost enough people within walking distance to sell the joint out. I wonder how many have ever been to a game?

Why do you even care?  How many East Rutherfordians visited Metro game at Giants Stadium, huh?

And as much as I loved GS, how was the atmosphere for games there?

Never thought of East Rutherford as a soccer neighborhood. Newark and Harrison definitely are. I bet the atmosphere in the whole stadium and in the supporters sections would be more intense if the place was packed with locals. Also from a marketing and money spending perspective, it should be a lot easier/cheaper to convince people living around the block to make it out than people in the City or Suburbia.

Why do I care? We've had a very competitive team for a few years now. We have arguably the best stadium in the league. Throw in the highest population density of any MLS team. And you still get comments like that one from Robles. I would like to see the stadium full.

East Rutherfordians

I believe the demonym is East Rutherfordites.

Meanwhile, a baseball crowd announced at 15K in Cincinnati looked more like 1,500:
