bump. i would like to say that Taxi developed his game from a ho-hum signing to one of the best left backs in the league. I do love going back over the early posts in these types of threads - MFers are truly a cynical bunch.

From the comments here, you would think that we lost the last two games.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Kemar Lawrence is the best left back in MLS and arguably the best left back on the continent. It's stunning to me that he doesn't get more international looks. Only a matter of time.
"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

Agree with the sentiment, don't think there's even an argument there.

Agreed about being one of the best on the continent, although i don't follow Liga MX and I'd be shocked if there weren't a handful of players there that could also make that claim.
It's criminal how underrated Taxi is, even now. He's got next level physical tools (speed + strength), great defensive instincts (tackles + interceptions), and is a threat to put in a good ball going forward.

Taxi doesn't have much of a right foot, but everything else? He's pretty much there.
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.
RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

Taxi has seemed to relax on the going to Europe stuff. Plus the difficulty getting a visa makes that the issue. I think Taxi is captain material to be honest if he's going to stay. Obviously Robles will be the guy for as long as he's here, but when BWP eventually does age a little, Taxi can be the next guy up.
