Learn Horto Magico then we can talk about this song

Funny, I was thinking of the lyrics to the two songs on one sheet.

That seems a more productive suggestion then 'lame'.

Unfortunately "lame" is easier than "get off your ass and do it!".

Yes learn Urbs.

But heeeeeeell yeah, start learning dirty old town.

We needs more songs with words that are not solely comprised of Fire ad Chicago. Yes, they're all well and good, but it would be nice every now and again to sing a song with some lyrics.

Sorry for my lame suggestion, I'll just go back to being a pretty girl who sits in the corner while all the boys have their important decision making time.

Don't worry, a male started this thread so it's still OK to discuss it. ;)

THERE IS ONLY ONE SOLUTION:

URBS DIRTO MAGICO

A MASH UP FOR ALL TIMES

EDIT: seriously I would appreciate a lyric sheet for both/either

Well, maybe if you boys are nice to me I can do a Dirty Old Town/ Horto Magico song sheet for people to hand out. But then again, I am just a girl, so I can't make big decisions like this on my own.

Dirty Old Town is an existing song, no lyric changes, no tempo changes. It's on youtube, it's on most juke boxes, it is available for listening to everywhere. ...So I don't get the Urbs ultimatum. If you can't learn D.O.T in addition to to Urbs you're a fuckin idiot who probably shouldn't be in the section unsupervised.

THIS thread is about Dirty Old Town.

Urbs boosters should do the work needed to get that thing tight without discouraging other songs.

Or we could keep singing Vamos . fill in the blank . like every other club.

Mac, good idea to sing it on the bus.

I'll have the flyers for DOT ready for the next match, which is a month away. I'll need some northsiders to meet me downtown to pick them up for the Globe Bus(es).

A completely unrelated search for something on BigSoccer turned up these gems from aught 3, I offer them here as a frame of reference as to how far we have come when we are talking about tunes like Dirty Old Town and Urbs in Horto Magiko:
:P

This is sung to the tune of "This Old Man" ..maybe we can sing after a goal or a win:

"We're the Fire
we're the best
in the who-ole MLS

with a kick to the ball
and we'll celebrate a goal

We're the Fire we'll beat you all (repeat)"

to the tune of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm":

"We're the Fire we are the best
in the whole MLS
And when we play forget the rest
in the whole MLS

with a goal goal here
and a goal goal there
here a goal, there a goal, everywhere a goal goal

and a save save here
and a save save there
here a save, there a save, everywhere a save save

We're the Fire we are the best
in the whole MLS" (repeat)

:o

That is all.

But yes, DOT is not exclusive of learning anything else. And lots of people already know the song. And even if you don't know the lyrics you can sing it more coherently than Shane.
