THe Honeycomb hideout.

But just like the cereal... it's so sweet to have for yourself is a welcome addition to any household!

Are Open Cup matches important?

Interestingly enough the topic of this thread will not be making an appearance down in Annapolis tomorrow night...

Does MLS "own" coaches?

24 June 2008 - 03:46 PM

AS QUOTED FROM MF ARTICLE:

"The 500,000 that RBNY will receive from MLS for the sale of Jozy Altidore will not go to Metro in its entirety, reports BigAppleSoccer. In reality, 100,000 of that allocation will be transferred to Chicago as part of compensation to sign Juan Carlos Osorio over the season.

To sign Osorio away from the Fire, RBNY gave up its first round pick in the 2008 SuperDraft, cash (rumored to be in the half-million range), as well as the allocation that was yet to be transferred."

I knew the league owned players, which is garbage IMO. The need for this practice has come and gone. But they own the coaches too?!?!?!? This is really annoying to me, and also seems totally uncalled for... not necessary at all!

Discussion on this anyone?

Let's name our home stand at Red Bull Park

10 April 2008 - 07:45 AM

Ok, it's a simple concept, but one that will hopefully draw some great responses and possibly even some controversy.

If you are a fan of English football you undoubtedly know what the Kop and Stretford ends are.

I think it would be awesome if we, as Red Bull supporters came up with a name for our home stand in the new park.

My suggestion is the Empire end.

Please submit your suggestions so we can make this happen.

Red Bull New York -vs- New York Red Bulls

15 March 2008 - 02:01 PM

I know this topic might seem a little pointless to most but I was wondering who, if any think that the team should keep true to the team in Salzburg by refering to themselves as Red Bull NY? I like the seemingly singular version of the name because it's not the American way of nicknaming their teams. It's a tradition that most football clubs follow, and I like the sound of the name more than New York Red Bulls...

So either way I'd ask you all to answer the poll question and see what we all think after a couple weeks.
