How was that a straight red? Didn't look that nasty to me.

Yikes. That's what happens when you spend money on players. Barlow won't score that in a million years.

I take it all back, love you Barlow.

(Although hopefully just off the bench with a legit #9 in the future)

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

We're more than halfway through the season restart, if fitness was actually the issue that's still on Armas. Keeping the team fit is one of the most important part of a coach's job.

Hard to stay fit when there are no games and limited practice due to covid.

I predicted several weeks ago that our winning streak would not start until the end of sept regardless who the coach is.

Duncan still doesn’t have much of a left foot but looked more comfortable playing LB than last season.

Every other team was playing on the same fitness and we got our asses kicked...under Armas.

...

Well, but, come on guys. Mercury was in retrograde. And you KNOW when mercury is in retrograde we play like shit. If they had just held on to Armas until retrograde was in regular grade youd see we just had to wait till retrograde was over.

Not saying carnell is better than armas or armas is better than carnell. The biggest difference is that the team has better fitness. The system works better when guys have the fitness levels to press.

So playing guys in positions that theyve been successful in in the past, applying tactics that have been successful in the past... not reasons Carnell is doing a better job. They just werent jogging enough in the downtime between matches?

Good come from behind victory and good to continue multi goal and win game
Very happy for Bar set not so Low
Nice to have multiple forwards who can score and good Royer is getting going

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Team has been better overall since Carnell took over.

Agreed. Once he realized playing 5 defenders is not getting it done the team has done a lot better. Albeit against poor competition, but we were losing against teams like that not long ago and giving up possession.

Really nice first half by Barlow. Hustled, was dangerous, and this time got two goals. Did I just really say that? I like this type of performance a lot better than White's goal last game, where he did get one in off a steal by Stroud and perfect pass, but we were basically playing with 10 men otherwise. Unlike White for this game, I think Barlow earned the start for next one.

Barlow Hustled ... got two goals.

IIRC, he let a ball roll past him early,
and later was unable to control a pass.
But, all is forgiven when you score two!
Kanu was outstanding! Goal & 2 assists.
Could have been more if others finished.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

The only opponent who is ahead of us in the standings since coming back from FL is PHI. Every other team is where we are in the standings, or beneath us. And we STILL lost to some of those basement dwellers. We know that we're turning a corner somewhat wrt matches inferior teams.

1 loss to Columbus and 2 losses to PHI. Still have to play ORLx2 and TFCx2, 4 matches against teams ahead of us in the standings, those will be really tough. The other 5 matches are only moderately difficult.

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

Montreal gave up, but that was really enjoyable. Particularly the organized high press in second half with Omir, I believe.  So enjoyable that I had to dust off this account.
