Not a lot, iirc, Duncan has more often than not looked more comfy/effective on the right. 34 gms at RB, a dozen games at LB.

I'm a huge Duncan fan but he looked pretty bad whenever he played on the left, he's clearly not comfortable there.

Tactical analysis of stoke with edwards as RB in a 442 skinny diamond - some of the images don't load. Maybe this is a Struber target?

Seen some reviews from other Stoke fans that he's actually very right footed and would struggle playing on the left. Not sure I see the point here unless something's up with Duncan.

The biggest compliment I've seen of him is as a crosser, which would basically be wiped out if he was on his inverted side. Either this rumor is BS, Duncan is on the move, or there's some sort of creative tactical plan.

Id be more ready to throw out the rumor if it came from a less trustworthy source or area of the world. Stoke have already recalled him from his loan, so it seems rather advanced

In calling him a wingback, does that imply a 5-back formation?    Or do we just call all fullbacks wingbacks now?

Some rumors of European interest in Duncan too.

That would be the best choice, unless Duncan is being sold this window.

its MLS so there are upgrades to every position availabbe on the global market if you want them.  So if this was easy to do, good move.  I just dont like the thought have having 2 RBs and 1 LB take up an international slot and having the worst of the 3 (Pendant) being the one that potentially starts.  Unless we are playing more with 3 CBs and that extra cover has Tolkin playing left wingback with less defensive responsibility by the summer.

seems like a good, no-risk move...especially if Duncan is on the way out.

I'm completely fine with the move, after all, he's had 50 first team games with Stoke, most of them being in the 'Ship. Supposedly he can cross, too.

Cool. Let's 'ave it!
