To be used to make irrational judgments--both positive and negative--about the players based on scrimmages.

Captain Mehdi is looking decent so far in the Diamond Desert Cup...or is it Desert Diamond Cup/

I predict a rebirth for Mehdi and Rafa this year!

Also, I think we'll see a better Dax this season. He seemed not too happy last season. I saw a few practices and the guy was a lone waolf. The arrival of Cooper (familiar face for him) will hopefully motivate him (or it could be the new stache,,,,)

I feel my posting is already in mid-season form.

I'm not really shocked that it can get worse. I gotta step up my puppy game.

The limited amount of the game I saw, Palsson was influential. Everyone else was ok. What do I know, though?

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

Definitely Palsson. Good size, positioning. Seems to think at a different level than the other players on the field.

Very impressed with Jeremy Vuolo. Didn't know what to expect, but what I saw was a guy who can make a big save.

Hertzog was alright too... seemed to have improved from the limited time I saw him last year.

Don't have much of an opinion on the other players.

"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

Was Barklage the one that started out on the right side in the midfield? I thought he looked decent with the ball at his feet but he only moved the ball backwards.

Did you watch? Ballouchy played well... and we all know Backe loves Mehdi, so no one has a right to be shocked.

Not much you can take out of a game like that. Its all non-first team players so tou can't gauge how these guys may fit in with a more regular line up. Most are working up match fitness as well.

Really all you want from this game is to come out with no major injuries (check) and to improve player fitness and speed of play and tactics. (check).

The goalkeeper looked solid so that put some worries to ease.

I was really impressed with Voulo last night.. he has some incredible hands. The stop on Espindola's blast from the indirect fk was sublime. You don't see many keepers holding on to a shot like that. I'm assuming Meara has the edge on Voulo in aerial play because I can't imagine him being as good of a shot stopper as Voulo.

As others have said, Palsson looked very good. I'm surprised he was on that "B" squad.. maybe Dax has really impressed so far in preseason.
Harry Redknapp on signing good-looking Portuguese winger Dani, he told reporters:

"My missus fancies him. Even I don't know whether to play him or f*ck him."
