regarding the NE Pats . . . was taping of other teams signs ever clearly made to be illegal? i consider myself quite the pointy ball junkie, and i was never aware of this rule.

I think that, because it's not part of the regular game films that teams exchange, that's what makes it against the rules. Granted, my understanding about this dates from the '70s when the technology was way different. But I think the principle is still the same, that all teams are supposed to have the same stuff to work with. Certainly that sounds like the NFL way of doing things.regarding the NE Pats . . . was taping of other teams signs ever clearly made to be illegal? i consider myself quite the pointy ball junkie, and i was never aware of this rule.

Not the most successful, but arguably the greatest Quarterback in America is retiring.

I agree that he is America's Quarterback. Not since Kenny Stabler has their been a quarterback that I'd actually like to have a beer with.

Lazarus: pushes that big rock out the way of the tomb and springs back to life
Favre: a little bit of both, plus he got to nail Mary.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

I saw this guy on a draft preview show and wondered when ESPN hired Urkel. But it turns out it was Cris Carter, who used to play for the Vikings.
