Bezecourt re-signed.   I like him to be honest so that makes me happy.  I think he can cause some offense and works hard.  Combines well with teammates too.  Eats up an international slot which sucks.

Still don't know how we're doing with those slots.  And still can't figure out why Murillo isn't listed as an international on the website when they have each of the other listed as internationals.

Cut Ndam and let him sign with the USL team.

Valot sent to USL team on season-long loan.

Get Collin his damn green card.

Supposedly we have 9 slots.

Here's where we're at now as far as I can tell.

1. Royer

2. Collin

3. Murillo

4. Taxi

5. Escobar

6. Valot

7. Bezecourt

8. Keita

9. Ndam

Taxi says he wants to go to France so that's going to open one up.  As mentioned above Ndam is someone to cut, but I don't think they do that.  And others have suggested that one or both of Valot and Bezecourt don't last camp.

Collin had a green card and then gave it up while he was in Orlando, something to do with his wifes status in the US. Has that been resolved?

That permanent slot we got from Houston for what, 50K allocation (actual number was never released) is perhaps the greatest trade in team history. Well, after DVB and Dax. So top 3.

Who says Agoos was a clueless moron?

Hah, absolutely. As the league gets bigger with more teams and money, those slots are going to mean even more too.

And yeah, as people pointed out above, hopefully we can get Collin's situation figured out and maybe pick up another slot.

Also, looks like yearly international slots go for 50-75K on the market... so it's not the end of the world.

DC traded 3 of them already...

Talk about MLS weirdness:

On Nov. 24, 2010, the Rapids traded an international slot to Vancouver in exchange for the rights to Sanna Nyassi through the 2031 season.

Why 2031?

Was it his idea?
Even a blind squirrel ...

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I believe it didn't have to do with his wife, but because he wants to eventually play for the Venezuela NT.  I could be mixing up stories though.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Does this make a Green Card even more unlikely?

Could that be a typo in the report, and the actual trade was for his rights through 2013? (note, this being MLS, I consider that the less likely option, just, it seems possible.) Unless they are working on some Bobby Bonilla shit over there...

Shouldn't matter one way or the other. Once married, she'd be along for the ride. The issue before was they got married after he got the GC, so she needed to go through the long waiting period.
