#1355143 Murillo burned bridges

Posted by Koko on 11 October 2019 - 11:25 PM

I remember ppl defending Murillo constantly over this past season comparing his mistakes to other players in the XI, but on SR it was said that Murillo burned every bridge. Ya kinda have to laugh at that sorta shit, all that vitriol defending Murillo, only to find out this BTS stuff.

Well done, everybody. :D  This off season's gonna be MOTHERFUCKING hilarious.

Hey remember when I said we needed to sign another legit outside back?!?!?

;)

Anyway, they tried to unload him this summer. And at the same time probably tried to get that outside back they needed LAST summer. And failed at both. Instead we got buckmaster (slow clap).

I was very VERY high on Duncan when he arrived and was starting to doubt that one, but I think hes a keeper. Hopefully hes all systems go for the playoffs.

Murillo wont be back next season...and IMO we still need another quality outside back (amongst other things) soooooo....hey Dennis, can we get some actual work done?  That or just convert Muyl already.

Throw all the stats out the window people. It's the playoffs. If we put on our big boy pants next week, we'll win. If not, we'll lose. That's the only stat that matters.

We dont own big boy pants.

But there is always dumb luck!

A first round exit wouldnt be enough of a gut punch. Theyll play like dogshit but somehow win the first two games to give the fanbase another dose of false hope and then get smoked by the smurfs who will then go on to win it all.

This team specializes in emotional terrorism.

BWP.... Maybe this injury he had and how he slow has gotten more time maybe he starts to hit his stride

The pain is bearable is not exactly the words I want coming out of our star strikers mouth. Expectations for him should be next to nothing.

Maybe Sims up top? Murillo? Muyl?

I think White is the most likely of any of the three strikers to score a goal, but this isn't a game where he can spend 60-70 minutes finding his legs again.

None of the three choices are any good.

If White was well enough to start vs. Montreal then why hasnt he been getting sub minutes for RB2.

Sucks having him in preseason form going into the playoffs. Hes probably a few games away from full fitness.

If he duncan is not healthy...

If Duncan cant go I want Muyl in that spot.

I. dont care that it isnt his position or that hes barely played there. Hes a better soccer player than Buckmaster and doesnt go on vacation like Murillo. If we lose the game he will die on the field trying and quite honestly thats all I want from these guys at this point.

His skill set fits an outside back. I cant for the life of me understand why no one has ever converted him.

Does it really matter?

It doesnt.

A few good results made some folks ignore the fact that we were still playing pretty shitty. We just werent getting punished for it.

Today were finally getting punished for our shitty play, and it WILL happen in the playoffs eventually.

We are not a good team. We are not well coached. We havent stocked our roster with enough talent. And we have an Owner who doesnt give a shit.

#1354759 If Red Bull had to do it over

Posted by Koko on 30 September 2019 - 09:53 PM

How would you know this?
IIRC, RB bought the stadium project along with the team.

Their general lack of interest or investment outside of the first few seasons at RBA says it all.

We will make MLS Cup only to lose it.

Just like we beat Portland and Philly only to lose a shot at a home playoff game to the scum...at home.

But dont worry guys. This team is so together. More together than any team ever togethered ever before. Their togetherness is better than any other teams together...

...together.

I remember when I thought Red Bull branding and ownership would mean nearly unlimited financial resources.

Now we're a product AND we're cheap. I'm thankful for the nice stadium investment but we've not been close to be able to fill it.

If they had it to do over they wouldnt have built the stadium.

I feel like it's important to get BWP 90 minutes... And hopefully get him going..

Usually he's a stud all regular season and then fizzles out come playoffs. Well he has been rested and has been cautiously used as to have him healthy for the playoffs... In a way his season started in late July.. So now just need to get him back on the scoreboard.. If Royer can be on point and Kaku keeps playing well and then BWP starts to score in the playoffs I like Metro chances... Those three have to be in good form

FYI hes not 100% healthy.

He said that the pain is bearable enough where he can play and contribute.

Some really stupid giveaways in midfield and a bunch of positional mistakes in defense. A better team will punish those in the playoffs.

Happy for the win but doesnt change my mind at all about their chances.

#1354255 Young premier league winger = Josh Sims

Posted by Koko on 20 September 2019 - 01:42 PM

I find this one really interesting.  He seems to be a player.  We know that he turns into a 10th grader when gets into the box.  His history shows that hes not going to produce goals.  But that doesnt mean that he cant be a good player for us.

It would retard the development of Omir and other young wingers significantly though.

Im interested to see how the team will move forward with this one.  Im not 100% sure how I feel about it yet.

This isnt a nursery. The real talents of RB2 like Miazga Adams Long CCJ etc will come through and earn their spots because they are that good. The rest will fill out the bench. And when a particular position isnt producing you go out and get production.

I like Omir but he isnt on the talent level of those guys above. And its not because he hasnt been given enough minutes.

#1353894 The Fire Chris Armas Thread

Posted by Koko on 16 September 2019 - 11:41 AM

Were folks singing that tune last year when we finished with the best record in league history?

Yes. Cause we needed an outside back and another attacking piece to guarantee an MLS cup win and we got neither in that transfer window.

The team is fucking cheap. Like REALLY cheap. Despite that we had a fantastic team last year. All they had to do was add 2 players. Wouldnt have had to drop 20 mil. Just a little more to put us over the top.

We got fucking Ivan.

It seems like no matter what combination of players are on the pitch it's just not ever going to be good enough. The coaching and the talent just aren't there. Everyone on the entire roster (besides White) has regressed this year.

Also Sims sucks.

This isnt rocket science. BWP has got nothing left. Davis and Rzatkowski have been terrible. Tarek is not a starting CB. Seattle is going to come after you playing at home so this is exactly the type of game you signed sims to start in. You have him hug the touchline all game. NOT TUCK INSIDE TO COMBINE FOR FUCKS SAKE!

Hindsight 20/20 blah blah blah but come on.

Barlow/Royer
Kaku
Muyl-Sims
CCJ
Buck-Long-Parker-Murillo

The lineup writes itself. All Armas has to do is gesticulate with his hands incessantly for 90 minutes. Easy!
