One positive from this game is how Olave schooled that diving kid.  :D

And unexpected point at Salt Lake.

Yeah, I really enjoyed that exchange. The dive, along with the worse acting job I have ever seen, but Olave may not escape the impending fine from the MLS Discipline Committee...

Since Sam is out with yellow cards, I could see Alexander playing right mid.  Segaya had a good game against Arsenal, I could see him starting also.  I was right about Convey starting, I have a good feeling about this one too.

Another good call!!!

Duval is avg. needs to improve his passing and positioning. i think the new french guy is going to steal that position

I dont think so. Duval has been miles better than Eckersley and Kimura. He just needs playing time so he can sharpen his skills and let his talent take over. Duval is a rookie who hasn't even played 15 games yet. Lets not be so quick to get him off the pitch.

rest assured, your prayers have been answered. Alexander will be out there on the field on Saturday.

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

Petke will start Oyongo and Sam out wide, but then make his earliest sub ever in the 23rd min to get Alexander back on.

Not a bad result considering the opposition and location.

Encouraging from Oyongo and glad to see Miller gettting back into it.

Substitutions are baffling but thats another thread.

Notice how RSL has Morales as LM. We should have done something similar with Peguy on the right ( I know nobody can replace Alexander).

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Morales was still the top of their diamond with Grabovoy on the left, but he constantly roams from side to side to help give some width to RSL's narrow formation. Dax started off the game with a clear intention to man mark Morales and he did a great job in the first half, especially before the first goal when Morales hardly had a touch. The Gil substitution really seemed to throw Dax for a loop though. Gil was pushing up high from the right and distracting Dax, which allowed Morales to start drifting off to the left unnoticed and receive the ball closer to goal.  To be honest its something Petke probably should have noticed was happening and made an adjustment for, if there's one guy on RSL that you need to pay specific attention to on RSL its Morales.
