A few weeks ago Alex calabrese, a chicago fire reporter, said that it is basically a done deal that Marsch is going to manage the usmnt after the summer tournaments.

What is holding up the announcement is that the usmnt wants to do it when Crocker is fulltime. That is sometime in August.

There is a history between Crocker and marsch from the premier league.

He's a college freshman at Syracuse lol, wouldn't take his reporting as gospel.

I am just saying what was reported from a guy that covers the chicago fire and the usmnt which is based in chicago.

Who cares if he is in college

Btw, other folks that follow the usmnt have confirmed the story that he broke.

Because he isn't based in Chicago anymore, and the sources of a college student 700 miles away regarding national team hires probably aren't as good as more established reporters.

With B.J. Callaghan as another interim manager, perhaps Marsch is not a lock.

or as was mentioned previously, possibly waiting until the new sporting director gets behind the desk to announce it.
