Have we seen any evidence of this working out? No. But they clearly saw something in him last season to draft him so in my mind it's him and nealis as starting rb2 CBs. If he's bad after this year he'll be gone, I don't mind giving him a chance to get it together.

The ones I'm aware of (where I can see them in 2020):Is there a list of college players thst are graduating but are from rbny youth teams?
Brian Saramago (potentially first team HGP)
Barry Sharifi (NYRBII)
Jared Gilbey (NYRBII)
Ryan Minchagos (detached but came back to U23s)
Sean Teixeira (NYRBII defender)
Kyle Perno (eh. maybe)
Mason Deeds (once invited to multiple preseason, top 3 prospect, dropped dramatically since going to GTown then Penn State, NYRBII but possibly same fate as Borges)?
Ethan Lochner (just went to grad school, not sure if he is getting looks)
Pierre Reedy (NYRBII, lost two years with injuries, but back now).
Not HGP eligible due to detachment, but academy ties:
Samad Bounthong - likely a late draft pick from someone. Was one of three players from Marist to earn honors. The other two were Sam Ilin and Allen Gavilanes. Our Academy twitter account retweeted the picture of the three of them and congratulated Ilin and Gavilanes, no mention of Bounthong.

Deeds is the only guy on that list I really recognize. Is he the best of that crop?

He was about 5yrs ago. Now I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a professional deal (similar to Borges).
He is one of the few on the list that played with NYRBII on academy deals in 2015/2016.

Some guys plateau, I guess? Is O'Toole still in college, the academy outside back during the USL Cup run in '16?
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.
RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

Kevin O'Toole will be a senior at Princeton next year.
Academy deals are players prior to entering college, with a few rare exceptions. So in most cases if an academy player that was seeing time with NYRBII vanishes, they may turn up again in 4 years.

He went to Georgetown when they were giving us players like Brandon Allen, Alex Muyl and Arun Basuljevic and getting guys like Ethan Lochner and Kyle Zajec on board too. What the hell happened?
Only made a handful of starts as a Freshman/Sophomore even having played quite a bit with our reserve teams. Went to Penn State for Junior and Senior year, where he joined Pierre Reedy and Kyle Perno. Had an injury that kept him from playing much as a Junior.

Saramago also has had a few solid years at Loyola. Not a powerhouse school but he made the best of it. I think he'll make a perfect II signing/lower end HG signing who takes a year to play exclusively in the USL.

Also the shenanigans with the Canadian Premier League forcing teams in Canada that were USL to play in CPL, which almost destroyed Ottawa Fury last season, before being given a year reprieve. This season they sold the franchise to The Miami FC, who move from NISA to USL for 2020.

Philly cant come to an agreement in Allentown/Bethlehem area and will continue to play in Chester and also rebrand (Philadelphia Union II from Bethlehem Steel)
Too bad. I liked the BS name & logo.

PUII is as bad as ZOLO.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Maybe we should make a USL 2 team - Bethleham Bulls? \
I hate the 2 names
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.
