Great entertaining game
Coronel was huge
We were to hesitant to shoot even though we were in the 18

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Seems like they shot a lot, just not well. Lots of ambitious long distane/ high difficulty stuff likely inspired by last week.

I went to the fights at MSG.
Did not realize that I took up so much 101 space.

That must have been a disappointing walk home for the local faithful.

Just like 101 after a big game now that I think about it

RBNY mentioned that Morgan scoring 4 against Toronto was the first time someone did that in one year since BWP... So, I was wondering:

(This includes all competitions, and obviously it's not as prominent now as when the league was smaller. But my god, Mathis in 2000!)

How did NY and Dallas end up playing nine times that season?

It's nine goals, not nine games. 5 goals in one game, 2 regular season games, 2 playoff games.

(I changed the display so it's a lot more obvious)

that's not nearly as big an exaggeration as usual

Half-truths are better than total lies?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

At least we did not have to stop at the hospital.
Smith had great local support from the LI unions.
Unfortunately, outmatched. Ref was merciful.

They could have had 2 or 3 in the first 15. Similar issues to last year with either hesitation or lack of clinical play, passing or shooting, in the final 3rd. Decision making sometimes leaves something to be desired.

Entertaining back and fourth game, really with Coronel the difference. They could have easily scored a few also. Thankfully luck (and Coronel) were on our side.

I think the rough stretch of play in the first half was a side effect of the False 9 experiment up top. Our game plan relies a lot on our strikers being outlets for the back line and winning long balls. Klimala and Barlow are both really good at this. Omir unfortunately isn't built for it. Every time our back line tried to play the ball out of our half it came right back at us.
