Nashville the newest MLS expansion club.

Nice road trip. No idea about how much there is in the way of support. Where would they build the new stadium?

Nashville is an awesome town. Good food, great bars, music, music, music (not just country).

Cincy must be pretty upset.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Been there twice. Had fun both times. They're banking on the American soccer fans in the area in addition to the booming Latino population there, Mexican and Salvadoran.

This was an easy decision. If you had to choose between Sacramento, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Nashville for just about anything, it's pretty obvious. One of those is a fun, young, hip, interesting city. The others? Ehhh.

I went to Nashville a year ago and had to listen to all these 20-somethings at the bar talking about how the apartments/starter homes they bought were worth 100% more then when purchased 2 years prior. They were deciding what to do with all their extra equity. I don't think the other finalist cities are enjoying the same prosperity.

I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit is chosen next.  I think a lot of people are writing them off but the metro area is pretty large and they definitely have a good ownership duo.

For a while I thought Sacramento was in, but their desperate attempt to raise money this week has me second guessing. Seems like MLS straight up told them they don't have deep enough pockets.

League was hoodwinked with Miami Fusion back in the day. That owner wasn't deep pocketed then, either.

Remember when MLS was going to give San Antonio an MLS team basically for free back in 2005 in return for free use of the Alamodome? Their incoming mayor ruined the deal saying it would be a waste of money because the league was doomed to failure. I chuckled to myself when San Antonio tried to get a team during this last round of expansion. Bet they feel pretty stupid right now.

Looks like some hopeful fans in Cincinnati might have to wait a big longer: http://www.miamihera...e194653114.html

Getting Beckham as an owner is huge. The only 2 soccer players known to exist, according to Joe Public, are Pele and Beckham.
