Rito most recently played for Metropolitanos FC.

That's a really strange move. Older than our previous South/Central American loanees, and no experience at the national team. He's also being loaned from the 2nd division.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

It's a loan, so no long term commitment. They may have just needed the body to fill a hole.

Seem a long way to go to fill a hole on RB2, butwho knows... maybe they see a diamond in the rough with more upside potential than his current club see.

One has to assume they saw something, but certainly a low risk "extended trial". Maybe they are preparing for Murillo to leave during or at the end of this season and are looking at a future backup for Duncan?

Perhaps he just wanted to get out of Venezuela.

this is just like Douglas Martinez. they brought him in on loan as well. didn't work out, but nothing wrong with trying to see if a player can fit into the system or not. doing it via RB2 means it's an investment in the future of a player, without it being high-risk.
