This has been rumored for a while. We just have to see if it is real this time or just more rumors.

Really has turned into a great player on the ball.  Like, great.

Good to be able to sell guys, especially when Duncan was so good and the Olosunde rumors seem strong.

But he would miss the prestigious all star game!

I think it makes sense to sell him, especially is the Olosunde rumor is real, though I am a bit hesitant to break up a back line that has been so good for us.

Agree in that it sucks to break up the back line, but I'd have a bigger problem if it was either Long or Parker.  Murillo was the weakest defensively of the 4 when it comes down to it.  A lot goes on Lade for now though... Olosunde isn't coming in immediately to take things over.  Always takes a little while for players to get accustomed to how we play (outside of Parker)

this was much less of a concern before Duncan went down. How fast does Olasunde get here and into the lineup?

Lade is definitely a step down from Murillo, but my biggest concern with him is health. If he goes down (like he often does), were looking at Kutler for extended period...

I was on board with the whole develop and sell model, but its kinda rough when all the selling happens during the summer.

Happens. It's why we should have really deep rosters, to compensate for qualifiers, extra competitions, and mid-season sales.

Develop and sell might work if we were not in a league where some teams like Atlanta and LAFC who are operating on the more ambitious buy and hold on strategy.

He should only be sold in the off-season (January).

The club can't afford to be dumping players right now with all the injuries. If they want to make the leap to Europe, they should wait. He signed up for this club so he should fully commit to the season.

Good luck getting young South American talent with Euro ambitions by telling them they cant leave until January when the clubs dont want them.
