Good luck!!!

Anyone up for some light weeknight pickup/practice/pint marathons before the season starts? We can meet up at Aviation Field for smallish crowds then head over to Grunions or Columbia Park for largish crowds and then head over to Red Car or some other place?

Yes.

Can we get field space at Aviation?

If not, then Columbia Park has plenty of space, although the surface leaves a lot to be desired.

We should have those who plan on playing in the league on one team, and those who are there just to drink beer on the other.

I vote for Tuesday's as Mar Vista SC is on Thursday, and S&P is on Friday.

Buck - it was your idea, so pick a day and time and let's do it.

I was thinking Wednesday since that is likely the day you all will be playing...kind of get people in the Weds. mode, y'know?

I don't care either way. Tuesday works just as well for me.

I'm just there to drink beer afterwards, so do whatever is best for the team.

Week 1: 4-4 (or was it 5-5)

We took the lead going into the half 2-1. They came out guns a blazing and scored 4 straight. Creeping back we tied and coulda/shoulda had the game but for the post and some last ditch defending.

Good job all.

I'd forgotten how fast and how physical this league is... having said that, bring it bitches. I think I'm gonna stick to midfield rather than going up top though, we were letting them in too close to our own end and weren't getting enough balls played up to the other end.
