Does being young meaning a player is automatically good? No. Of course not. But there are enough young players around the world capable of being good-to-great in MLS that we should be able to sign some who are. There's absolutely no reason we can't follow the philosophy while still getting great players. If Leipzig and Salzburg can stick to that philosophy and compete in Champions League, then we can do it and find players that can beat fucking Sporting KC.

Our failure to sign difference makers has nothing to do with age restrictions.

FTFY

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

yeah and with the new-ish Young DP rule, that should be incentive to sign a player ~22 yo or younger to bring into the team. Thelwell says, "RBNY are a big club...yadda yadda yadda"

Then do big club things, ffs.

It can't be because they have performed anywhere else.  It's because they are young.
Were still trying to get Jorgensen on the field,  meanwhile he hasn't done anything while being here either.  Why Because he is so young.

If we bought in a player that is 31 that has not scored anywhere like sims or didn't play for their team like yearwood this board would be having fits.

I want accomplished soccer players I don't care the age.  If there 33 then so be it.

Has nothing to do with youth. People just want to see some action / movement on the part of the FO. Chillax.

Everyone here needs to stop fantasizing about age. Just because your young does not mean you are good.

At RB, "Young" is the new "European."

Yearwood could be a decently good player for us. Good vision, tries the semi-difficult pass, rather than the safe ones we see often.

Sadly I think he's the only guy we bring in and then we sign a reserve team player or two.

reserve roster is full, could open a spot by giving Duncan a senior level contract or waiving someone.

Might be some overhaul on the reserve roster over the winter, some of the young guns on the 2s could play their way into HG contracts.

my b, i thought Duncan was already on the senior roster. he'd obvs be brought up, and I'm guessing Sowe would as well, maybe LaCava and Clark?

would still prefer someone from the outside brought in, maybe someone similar to Sims, but maybe at a slightly lower cost.
