I hope every time Curtis announces a new signing.... every time RBNY wins a game... every time you're thinking of buying a new jersey...

I hope every fucking time that happens, the voice of a dejected Mike Petke holding back tears is at full volume in your conscience. And I hope you don't let those things trivialize what Ali Curtis and the Red Bull hacks did to him and this franchise. Stop getting distracted by the new shiny toys and whatever else and focus on what truly matters here. They just took a massive dump on the identity and history of this team and are now trying to shove Febreeze into your nostrils to pretend the stink doesn't exist.

It shouldn't matter what players Curtis brings in or how many games he wins. See the forest for the trees.

This made me glad I did a charge back against because while the players do deserve our support these assholes in the front office do not deserve my hard earned money.

Was your chargeback successful?  I haven't gone through with it yet, but I looked into it and since we haven't received any tickets this is not a "refund" situation , rather a cancellation, regadless of how Red Bull sees it. The cancellation policy I was quoted refers to tickets in hand, not a deposit on a future promise of tickets.  I think there may be some room to maneuver.  I'm seriously thinking about it.

I don't have an answer yet. I just faxed the required information that my visa card requested over today to them. There is no reason not to at least try to do it if you want your money back. Worst case scenario is you have to still pay and get your tickets but you at least gave the front office some extra work to do.

I think ultimately this is the only thing worth doing.  It's a shame to have to go this far.  Nothing besides disengaging will have any real imapct.  My theory is that RBA is such a beautiful stadium that ultimatley someone competent will end up running a team there.  How long can it opeate mostly empty?  So even if we temporarily disngage now there will eventually be something worth going to.

For me personally it's the only way I feel like I have a voice. I don't have faith in the South Ward being able to agree on a proper protest and I just can't give this front office group my money. If I successfully get my money back I'm going to go see the team play on the road more for this year.

I teared up listening to that.  I'm so sick of this ownership, sick of the stench of disloyalty that surrounds it, and sick of being shit on by those who run this club.  Mike just felt what all of us have felt for the past 9 years...heartbreak and betrayal for supporting this sham of a branding experiment.

Mike deserves better than this.  I hope to god all of you who were listening tonight are finally ready to take action against the ownership and front office of this club.  No one's given more for us than Mike.  No one.  I won't let Red Bull get away with it.

It really is the only thing a consumer can do. I wold prefer to break with the management amicably.  I would still likely come to a game or two with my son and like anything, "This too shall pass" and I would eventually get back into it.  But I would prefer that the FO act honorably (I can't write that without immediately acknowledging how ridiculous it is) and let those that want to go, go.

I would prefer not to do a charge back as well but I left a voice mail with my old rep on Friday and he has yet to call me back about it and I know he won't call me back so there is not much we can do. They made it clear they are gonna be thick about the refunds.

I say take your son, depending on his age on a few of the close road games here. We got nycfc and Philly right here and DC and new England a bit further. Otherwise grab some cheap seats on stubhub for the home games. That's my game plan for this season.

Beautiful. This fiasco has made me a far more passionate supporter than I ever was before. Go to games, don't go to games. Protest, don't protest. But never forget what these pricks did to a good man. And never stop campaigning for owners who care.

We will not go quietly, Mike.

This is only just beginning.

Oh I had a long conversation with a lovely ticket rep young lady.  She was excellent, on point and smart as a whip.  She did a great job so I expect she is already fired.  She made it clear over two different phone calls that they would not be releasing any dollars voluntarily.  I called back to say I looked into my options and it looked like a chargeback may be my only recourse.  It was only after saying that that things got a little frosty.

I would say Mike was holding back tears not because he is dejected, but because he feels overwhelmed by all the support that fans have showed him.  As he said himself, he didn't die, and by his 'no response' it was made pretty clear that he already has offers on the table elsewhere.  Let him go, learn, improve, and then come back when Red Bull has left for good.  This isn't the end, it's only the beginning.

I never thought there would ever be another human being I would hate as much as that motherfucker Peter Karmanos who killed my Whalers. But Ali Curtis did it. My new goal in life is to outlive him so I may have the pleasure of dancing on his fucking grave.
Let's Go Buffalo!!!
