I wouldn't say he cost Leon the game, but he's a fucking jackass.

Also came across this today:
Márquez has just sold his Chelsea condo at 257 West 17th Street for $8.6 million, according to city records, $2.2 million more than he paid three years ago

Rafa is going to Brazil....
At the end of qualifying the Mexican coach said that one player as guaranteed a spot in Brazil, Rafa Marquez...he said every other spot was still open. This was in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying.

Rafa's Leon win the Liga MX Clasura 4-3 over Pachuca on aggregate, after finishing 8th in the season.
Leon also won the playoffs in the Apertura, after finishing 3rd.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

“Maybe I was a bit ahead of myself choosing to go to the United States,” Marquez says. “It was an error on my part because I thought my career was on the downswing, and then I realized I was mistaken because I still had much to give in the competitive arena.”

The argument that the league was so bad that he was too good to play well is certainly an interesting one.

way too physicial a league for such a "delicate" player...clearly it was nothing but a grab at the money

This guy is an idiot. If he had so much to give then why didn't he show it on the field when he was here. I guess the big paycheck was all Rafa cared about. It is more like MLS was too good a league for a lazy bum like this. Delicate Rafa left today's game with a thigh injury. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

You're the idiot.. He left the Ecuador game with a foot injury, not a thigh injury...
