Nice by Jozy

Miazga header not cleared by Fidel Escobar and Jozy scores. Lot of former Red Bull right there.

Murillos first action should have been a foul.

His second should have been a yellow.

What time will USA play in Philly on Sunday?

Looks like 8:30 PM.
Opponent: Curaçao. Population 160,000. Odds?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Meanwhile Mexico gets Costa Rica in the 1/4 finals. Unexpected bracket.

Curaçao players play for clubs in the Netherlands. Well trained and physical.

And I understand a large contingent of Americans who have time-shares down there will be at the game to support them. :)

Maybe slightly better for us than that other island nation that played a b team against us in World Cup qualify.

Curaçao probably has more overseas pop in Netherlands than on the island

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Etienne Jr. played like he was having fun again. No look passes, confidence, skilled moves, etc...
I havent seen that since his first couple years with NYRBII that earned him the HGP deal.

He plays too serious here, likely just trying to get minutes but absolutely head down and anxious. I dont think that helps his game.

He plays tighter with us, seemingly to not screw up and draw the ire of a coaching staff that values pressing from its wings over dynamic attacking play. Really sucks that even when he plays well he's going right back to the bench to make room for our pressing Mule. The minutes they each have played over the past 3 years is a damn indictment of Marsch and Armas. Do those former DMs not like his swag?

Hella frustrating to see an exciting homegrown answer to our attacking issues getting like 10 min a game for 3 seasons running now.

RED. BULL. OUT.

Just got an email by ticketmaster the scheduled kickoff for the 2nd match in Philly is 8p. But im sure if the first match goes to extra time the original start time of the 2nd match will be moved to 830pm or later.

I just can't get excited about this US team. Feels like a chore to watch them.

ticketmaster: scheduled kickoff for the 2nd match ... is 8p.

They just want us inside earlier, to purchase their overpriced concessions.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Correcaminos in Tamaulipas, Mexican 2nd division.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Got pretty much no time there either.  Such a weird case, he's definitely better than that.

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

The good news with Jamaica playing Panama is either Lawrence or Murillo will be back next week.
