I think one thing to take away from this season would be Long & Escobar developing to the point where you offer Collin a sub-$175k/yr deal for 2018, or you move on. I like Collin, want to keep him, but we can't keep spending $400k/yr on the guy after this year. Returns will only keep diminishing.
This team's made a lot of patchwork center back pairings work over the last few years, and has probably been lucky not to have spent more time in crisis mode like we have been for much of this and last year. For the first time in awhile, we have three young centerbacks in Escobar, Long, and Baah that could realistically work out long-term if they stay healthy.
