I think you guys are sleeping on the need for another legitimate CM with both Adams and Rzatkowski gone. That might be my #1 priority right now. Even if Casseres makes a huge jump and kills it next year (big assumption), that's still only 2 starting CMs on the entire roster.

while i wouldn't do this I feel fairly confident the team will approach the CM position the same way they approached CB last season.  We have a number of young options and they will let them all fight out to play next to Davis.  And if none of them look good enough they will acquire someone like they did Parker.

We have a decent amount of work we need to do to the roster though in the next month because of the volume of guys coming back from serious injury that I would not want to rely on with a Plan B.  We basically either lost or have recovering from injury 6 of our best 18 players (Valot, Duncan, Beze, Escobar, Adams, Rza)

didn't hit me until now but on top of having to hand out some raises to taxi and Parker, Kaku's cap hit is going to more than double.  That is roughly adding at least $1 million in salary.

We still have money with the Tyler GAM, etc. but if the team doesn't use self funded TAM we probably won't be able to acquire more than one significant piece from another team in the league for just allocation money.

in better news though we have 3 international slots open I think with Rza, Escobar and the Vancouver trade international spot coming back.

The deal, which was reached Tuesday afternoon, will see Parker paid in the neighborhood of $700,000 in the first year and up to around $800,000 at the end, a source said. The club paid part of the salary down with allocation money (from prosoccer)

Good deal for both sides link

We got out of their players traded to us even less than they did.

You really forgot the year before we took Collin from them?

Of course. But, RBL needs to balance its books for BL & FFP more than RBNY does for MLS.

Haven't looked at their financials but didn't they sell Naby Keita for a ton of money this season (Though it was agreed before)?  I would be stunned if they need any significant book balancing.  So give me that GAM
