It has to be more than the tweets... Most likely not showing up to practice or showing up late. Those are the usual things in sports that get a game suspension. He was mentally out this summer with those things he was saying. We probably could have gotten rid of him if it wasn’t so late in the window. Once somebody checks out, it’s hard to get them to buy back in fully. Happy we won 4-1 without him just in case his ego is starting to get too big.

if i was guessing they told him after the transfer nonsense to show his commitment and stop with any distracting actions with press/social media with a "final warning".  Then he tweeted that and Armas came down with the hammer.  More of a straw the breaks camel's back situation.

Honestly I am happy they went for it instead of playing a conservative lineup.   We have work to do and by no means am I happy but I would rather lose swinging (playing a lineup to score goals) like this than the b.s. we pulled last year.

Agree with most of the comments here about subs, especially the Valot sub.  In a way I don't think Armas even expected them to pull even so quickly based on the bench.  Would have been nice to have Casseres as option since he has more range than any of our midfielders, to then allow Armas to be more aggressive with attacking subs.

Lastly not to make a big deal about a tap-in but Omir's run to get near post on his goal is something we have missed from the right mid spot for a while.  Just knowing what position you need to be in to score/finish a play.  Frankly he even got into the spot BWP needed to get to but for some reason was not there.  More importantly on second goal if Valot played that ball to Royer instead of BWP first (pause video at 22/23 secs) he got himself in position to score another tap-in. As he gets more comfortable should provide some goal scoring relief from out wide.

This is exactly right... BWP is a single striker.  In an offense that usually creates a good amount of chances.  The team has a hard time in these games where he can't score.

Considering what we've seen so far.  I'm very interested in both Ivan and Omir for that right wing spot.  I like Muyl still being involved, he's just not good enough against a team like Santos.  Same with Lade.  I've learned to like both of those guys but they are limited.

I especially like Ivan and Omir because they are very different than what we have on the field.  Ivan is almost an awkward player with the ball, hard to predict.  Omir is very different than anything we have.  They are good changeups for the others on the field.

agree with that.  If Armas wants to get team ready to do something in playoffs he needs to get Omir/Ivan more involved so they can grow into the first choice right winger role.  It was very noticable how helpful it was to have someone who can carry the ball forward when Ivan and even Etienne came on to the pitch.  We rely so much on these perfect passing sequences that when we are "off" we don't create enough.  Also like that Ivan is a willing shooter.  There was one play in the box where Rza tried to cross and I almost walked out of the arena.  SHOOT the ball.

Also of note, doesn't look like we can really counter well given that BWP is a step lower and Muyl has never been fast.  until Etienne came on  our transitions when we started from our half were way too slow.  Maybe Jorgenson helps with that.
