Interesting...
Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
-H. L. Mencken

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

I definitely want to do Montreal, but another Portland-Vancouver trip is tempting, Vancouver will be in BC Place too, counts as a new stadium, no? I may do both :)

Just looked at airfare, and it's pricy.

Cheapest I could find so far is on priceline on Delta for $585.

Westjet flies there for $329, but everything is arriving the next morning.

About a 7 hour flight from LA to Montreal.

What about flying into an adjacent city a day or two earlier? A 7-hour flight just sounds effing brutal... I start lose it at around 5 hours on a plane.

I took a look at Westjet earlier, and I'm pretty sure they all had layovers in other Canadian cities.

EDIT: It's really too bad that the Red Bull game wasn't scheduled close to the Montreal game. One way flights to NYC are 139 on Jet Blue in May, with a $66 train ride to Montreal.

7 hours?! Fucking hell. I'll need at least 4 Xanex on top of my usual dosage.

The game is Saturday May 12th. While the game vs Red Bull is scheduled the Saturday prior, it's actually here in LA

EDIT: Vancouver and Portland are 4 days apart in July again

In reverse no less.

Train-ville?

Pancakes, whiskey and gay hotels?

Hmmmmm
