Looks compelling but didn't Veron have the same stats before coming over here with San Lorenzo?

fair point. and Kaku was a starter for Huracan, while Veron didn't start all the games.

Please let this be true, and if we can bank on kljestan with minnesota entering the picuture. This could mark the start of the red bulls being ambitious and adapting to the rising transfer fee's mls is seeing.

also, quite possible this kid will be a Young DP, meaning that since he'll be 23, his cap hit will be a mere 200k rather than 500k like BWP's cap hit.

Fucking Denis Hamlett, everyone. He should take a fucking bow.

1. Verticals in South Ward

2. 90 minutes of arms waiving

3. Dogs and cats, living together....mass hysteria.

Fully support it. Hope he doesnt suck.

Brent's vision for 101 materialized.  We may finally have an Argy with a vowel who isn't awful (looking at you Juan Pietravallo)

and more importantly this guy looks skillset wise at least to be a more natural winger.  Even a Veron hater like me acknowledges that Veron is a good player.  Just that when you can't tactically fit with the two best players on the team its time to go.  Kaku should fit in well with Royer and BWP from an attacking standpoint.

Also for those who want to look at more stats the Argentine League is on whoscored so he has a full profile there.  link

How's his work rate, defensively, he a high press sort of player?

Seems to be a high effort kid but it's harder to tell from the vids in his case.

I think that's the major difference from Veron.  Veron always played a more passive style (although had some great physical traits).  He eventually was able to speed everything up, but between that major difference and the injuries, it took him a while.  Now Veron is a legit good player but Veron is also best at a position we just don't need.

This kid seems high effort and has some great touch.  The other positives are that he can really hit the ball and seemingly with both feet (although he's a lefty).  There's plenty of things to like and it's probably a big reason teams like Cruz Azul were trying for him.

Has the upside and has some qualities we don't have much of so I'm happy in that regard.   I'm not sure what his best spot is as far as the 3 offensive midfield spots but its' not a big deal because Tyler can play all 3 of them easily and Royer is good on either side.

If this works out, we go with this and look pretty good(at least on paper). And you can switch those 3 in any way you want.

-------------BWP----------

--Royer---Kaku---Adams

---------Felipe-Davis

Lade--Collin-Long-Murillo

That is a better team outside of any significant drop off from BWP.  That is a fast, young, active, good team.  Taxi is a loss, but Lade a solid player and assuming we pick up another LB.

This sort of seems like Veron part II

Feel better about them going to young South American players as with Atlanta United, than nearly expired Euros.  We still need a centerback to pair with Long however.....
