A 34 year old with interest from NYRB?  Uh huh.

Doesn't exactly fit the type of player that would fit our squad and style of play. Age also doesn't help his case.

I'm assuming he's a "Zubar-esque" acquisition, he'll get paid a certain amount just to be 3/4 CB, in the advent that there are injuries/suspensions/callups. Nealis can develop as CB 5 without being thrust into a situation where he'd be set up to fail, like they do to Buck consistently at outside back.

he's wanted to leave for some time now. hope they can spend the proceeds from the sale on acquiring a player. he's not a HG and he's not originally from the area.

Zubar was brought into be a starter but injuries killed that.

Rami was 10Xs the player Zubar ever dreamt of being.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. Someone who can score 12x nightly?

AND he had time to cheat on her?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

This would have been a peak Metro signing in, like, 2008. The age, the pedigree, the Pamella Anderson connection...

... but not now.

The guy is a young soccer player in his prime playing in the top flight in Europe, and he dates a washed up 50 year old?

Pass, this guy has horrible decision making skills.
