The bottom line question is whether he will help us hoist the cup? Look, we want the cup. Does he help us get it?

If BWP goes down and my choices are Jorgensen, White or Rossi... I'm taking a healthy Rossi.

Biggest question is if he could pass a physical. It seems we are a bit more cautious when it comes to that.
Remember, we brought Babajide Ogunbiyi back in 2012 after we drafted him in 2009, but he went to Viborg instead of taking a developmental contract. He played really well for a couple years there. Didn't pass his physical here in 2012, but went on to play for 5-6 more years in Europe including the Danish Superliga, after we released him.

Healthy and Rossi are not usually seen in the same sentence.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Rossi has talent but a talented player that is injured does a team no good.

RBNYs style of play requires guys to be very fit. My concern is that if he constantly gets injured he might never get to the fitness level needed to fit into RBNYs tactics.

If he was to come to RBNY his minutes would have to be monitored, he would have to be okay with being a role/bench player and sign a one year contract with a team option at a higher salary.

there is too much risk with his history of injuries to sign him to a long term contract in MLS. if he wants that then he might be a better fit for Cincy, Minn, RSL, Houston, Orlando or Montreal.

Look if its 0-0 and the Semi Finals of CCL or Finals of USOC are MLS playoffs and need to sub someone on and Kaku and Royer and BWP are already on the pitch...and the choices are DE7 or Muyl or Valot or Bez or Rossi.
I'm going with Rossi everytime.
I just want Metro to win a title sometime in my lifetime.

You somehow presume that he will be fit.

The man has only played more than 30 games a season 3 times, none since 2011 . He was a very good player when fit but those days are behind him .

He also talks about coming to MLS in a few years ?? , he is now training with Manchester United ,( I think) .

i'd rather have Jorgensen get those minutes than signing Rossi and have him get those minutes.

Rossi would be a gamble- can he avoid injury? does he have anything left in the tank?

The worst- RB loses some money. The best- he helps us towards the Cup.

Every player acquisition is a gamble. Some work out, some do not.

Rossi has a couple of things going for him - experience, handling pressure, desire.

You can't win the lottery without a ticket!

True, but you dont want to spend more than what the lottery is worth. The team needs to be responsible when they give rossi a contract.

I think that Rossi has NYCFC written all over him, unless he wants to sign very cheaply to play in his home state. I could see RB offering him $100-150K base with performance incentives, but not much more. Rossi just doesn't fit the front office's M.O.

Why would RBNY have Rossi in training last year if neither party would be interested in a contract?
This post is dedicated to all the slow defenders of the world. Godspeed! my brothers
