It's fantastic we have a real reserve team; what would have been Allen's fate otherwise? Doomed to bench purgatory, or perhaps a loan to a club where he'd be an afterthought. Who knows if he'll be an MLS player, but the foundation is there.

hope the technical staff have plans for him. would be a shame, he's a really good finisher. always finds a way to get the ball in there, plus he's not a bad passer.

Allen reminds me more of Kenny Cooper. Finisher but not a ton more. If he can turn into a Kenny Cooper, I don't think any of us would complain.

That said, let's not forget Andre Akpan and his reserve team abilities.

Makes you wonder about some guys in this clubs history had there been an official reserve team been around. Not MLS reserve games where front office employees get playing minutes on a Sunday morning. Not Metro Black or Metro Red reserve teams of old where most of the players were at their day jobs instead of practice.

I wonder if guys like Jerrod Laventure, Ramon Bailey, Alex Dixon, Julian Gomez, Corey Hertzog, and Martin Klinger would have developed into better goal scorers had this system been in place earlier.

There are dozens more - Darin Lewis, Eric Kvello, Dustin Sheppard, Rafinha, Abbe Ibrahim, Nansha Kalonji, Mike Nugent, Jhonny Arteaga, Chris Megaloudis, etc...

Also would Amando Moreno have bolted to Tijuana as quickly?

i think he's still recovering when TH took his legs out.

last time i saw moreno was when he showed up with obekop and manolo sanchez to the USOC game between RB2 and Jersey Express (?) last yr at NJIT's field in Newark.
