Would RB offer anywhere near the money of those other clubs?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Salary-wise? Probably not. But seeing our forward depth, it might be the quickest way for him for first-team minutes. Worked out for Jorgensen!

No way in hell we land him.

We dont spend money and leaving Europe is a terrible move.

Celtic has fallen so far in European football that my first instinct was to assume they can't be spending much anymore, but they dropped $20M on inbound transfers last year which at least puts us to shame. Granted they also sold their left back to Arsenal for $27M so they put us to shame there too.

Will the $2M we spent on Jorgensen not do the trick here?

I think he's out of contract soon, so unless I'm mistaken there won't be a transfer fee involved. He'll essentially be a free agent unless he chooses to sign a senior deal with West Ham. He'd probably go out on loan immediately in that scenario, so at least this way he has more control over his destination.

Celtic ... can't be spending much

The average wage for Celtic players is $1.1 million.

Celtic, Monaco, or a below average roster in MLS...

Hmm, tough choice...

I'd take it, but this seems way far-fetched aside from young European on a free + RBNY recent interest in European players.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Depends on if he thinks the path to playing time is better over here, can sell him on going back to Europe if he performs.

Not going to turn down signing burgeoning talent, but this team is going nowhere fast with college soccer draft picks, and teenagers who havent played first team/first division soccer.

Signings for the future are great, but there is still a talent vacuum on the senior squad. Its obvious by now that Jesse could make it work, not sure Chris can.

we have to be signing some forward(s), because having 3/4 on the depth chart isn't realistic playing with 2 strikers.   Going from the U-18s to the first team is quite the jump, so immediate impact is questionable.  But you never know.

These rumors would be much more exciting if red bull also showed the willingness to go after more finished, proven products. One MattiJoe is enough.

Early signs of the new Director that came over from Wolves. Is he in the US or never made it due to the coronavirus?
