Unfortunate that the next home game is two weeks away, but we should be thinking about a memorial.Youth soccer coach Mike Jones was killed in a brutal stabbing in the West Village early this morning that left his severed ear lying in a pool of blood on a 14th Street sidewalk.
The 25-year-old – who coached youth soccer in Westchester and worked with the Red Bulls Youth Training Programs – was found near 25 West 14th between Fifth and Sixth Aves. around 4:26 a.m. with six knife wounds to the head, neck and chest he’d suffered 10 minutes earlier, acording to police.

"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams
